A location has been set for the historic meeting between Volodymyr Zelensky and Vladimir Putin after President Trump recommended a great little island.

The US President confirmed on Truth Social that he had “begun the arrangements for a meeting” between Zelensky and Putin, before recommending a quaint little island belonging to an old friend of his.

“All I’ve been told is it’s in the U.S. Virgin Islands,” said Ukrainian president Zelensky.

“Apparently Mr Trump has been there multiple times, but I wasn’t supposed to mention it for some reason. He also told me not to Google the island in case I was put off going there. It must be volcanic or something.

“I didn’t want to pry too much about the person who owned the island. It seemed he was getting a little bit emotional every time I brought it up. I got the sense his friend passed away and he’s still processing the grief.

“I was a bit concerned when he said some of the rooms didn’t have any windows and only locked from the outside. Also, he was very defensive when I joked that it sounded like a dungeon.

“But no, I’m sure everything’s fine. I’m not worried at all.”
