Man furious as British Academy Film Award for ‘Best Film Not in the English Language’ goes to ‘a foreigner’

A Basingstoke man have been left absolutely furious after discovering the BAFTA Award for Best Film Not in the English Language has been awarded to a film where hardly anyone speaks English.
The award went to Norwegian-language film Sentimental Value, though some people aren’t at all happy with the nomination process.
“It’s called the BRITISH Academy of Film and Television Arts,” said a furious Derek Williams.
“I don’t care what the category is, when I watch a film I expect people to be speaking the King’s English.
“And before you ask, yes I can read the subtitles. I just have to pause the screen every few seconds so I can say the words out loud.
“What about next year? Will everyone be turning up to the red carpet in small boats instead of limos? It’s a complete farce and I’ll never watch the BAFTAs again.
“We’re supposed to be celebrating British films and British characters. Next you’ll be telling me Paddington isn’t British!”
