A Star Wars fan is absolutely pissing himself today, after coming up with a completely hilarious play on words joke to go with today’s date.
Simon Williams, who even likes the new Star Wars films which are generally pretty shit, thought of the saying earlier after spotting what date it was on his Millennium Falcon watch and immediately posted it on Facebook for everyone to see.
Speaking earlier he told us “Ok, so here’s the joke, get this – this is brilliant.
“Today is the 4th of May right. But some people say May the 4th. It depends on how you say it.
“Anyway, May the 4th actually SOUNDS like ‘may the force’. It’s literally the same saying, apart from the end of one word. The word fourth, I’ve changed it to force.
“So, here’s the clever bit. All you have to do on today’s date, is say to fellow Star Wars fans – May the 4th be with you and they will absolutely love it, because it’s like a famous saying from all the Star Wars films, it’s brilliant.
“I just thought of it then. Seriously, it just came to me and I was like, what the hell this is brilliant! I couldn’t wait to tell everyone, so I’ve put it on Facebook, and Twitter and texted all my friends.”
Asked how many people have reacted to his posts he told us “Two. But people might not get it actually.”
