The marathon runner dressed as Big Ben was forced to stop before the finish line and undertake four years of repairs.

The man was struggling for much of the marathon, but due to repair work, he had to stay silent.

Runner Simon Williams, said, “It’s unfortunate. He was trying to run in a record time for a well-known landmark. Unfortunately, he picked a landmark that’s currently under repair and was, correctly, forced to stop.

“I don’t take any pleasure in this,” he added, himself dressed as the London Eye.

The Big Ben runner’s time is expected to be 4 years, 3 hours and 54 minutes.
