The Terriers, the bookies’ favourites for relegation since winning the play-off final yesterday, are already challenging for a Europa League place, well ahead of title hopefuls Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.

Champions Chelsea can currently only mange fifth place though, a position that sees Antonio Conte’s job hanging by a thread, with ruthless owner Roman Abramovich rumoured to be already searching for his replacement.
AFC Bournemouth lead the 2017/18 table, but in controversial fashion, with many Arsenal fans claiming that their side should be top, as Bournemouth begins with a ‘B’.
