Good Morning Britain to quiz Little Mix on US gun control
9 years ago
ITV have announced that girl band Little Mix will be interviewed on their popular morning show Good Morning Britain on Friday, when they will be asked about the problems of imposing gun legislation in the USA.
A spokesman for ITV told reporters: “Everybody likes Little Mix, so what better than for them to appear on Good Morning Britain to voice their views to Susanna Reid and Ben Shephard on firearms ownership in the US and how best to introduce feasible legislation that will be acceptable to the powerful gun lobby and ordinary American citizens alike?
“When they’ve finished, they can perform one of their hit songs: Maybe, Wings, or something along those lines.”
Little Mix band member Jesy Nelson responded to the news last night: “I don’t really have any views about guns in America as I don’t watch the news.
“I prefer shows like Love Island and that one with the posh people from Chelsea in it. I could probably answer questions on that if they asked me. Or maybe they could ask me what it’s like to be bullied at school for having fat legs.”
This latest move by ITV follows hard on the heels of an appearance by pop icon Olly Murs on the BBC World Service’s hard-hitting political discussion show HardTalk, when he gave his views on Brexit, the problems facing the international monetary fund and what it’s like having such a big face.
