Concerns have grown today at Radio 2 after reports emerged that the station went almost FOUR full minutes without mentioning Eurovision.
With the Eurovision final set to take place this weekend, live on the BBC, Radio 2 listeners who have been reminded that Eurovision is set to take place this weekend, on the BBC, began getting concerned earlier after presenters at the station failed to tell them about Eurovision, which is on the BBC for almost four full minutes.
A spokesperson for the BBC confirmed, “Everything is ok, they are still alive.
“We can confirm that all the presenters at Radio2 are okay and are indeed still alive, having not mentioned Eurovision for a very long time.
“Unfortunately, they had decided to play a song which lasted three minutes and fifty two seconds, but FORGOT to cut it short to continue to talk about Eurovision.
“Which will be shown on the BBC you know.
“It was a momentary lapse in concentration and it won’t happen again. We apologise for any concern this has caused.
“Thankfully normal service has been resumed and there will be fifteen minute interview with a former friend of Latvia’s entry shortly. “
Asked where the public could watch the Eurovision final on Saturday we were told, “On the BBC”.
