CrossCountry Rail launch their own advent calendar, with only 9 windows in operation
2 years ago
Cross-Country Rail have entered into the yuletide spirit with the launch of their own CrossCountry Rail Advent Calendar.
A spokesperson for CrossCountry has said, “We are very pleased with our new advent calendar, which will function much like our trains.
“Firstly, only 9 of the windows will be in operation. But, best of all, the windows that do open will feature pictures of disgruntled passengers crammed like cattle into many a carriage.
“The final window (if it’s in operation on the day in question) will feature a folded poster of a departure board splattered with cancellations and delays.
“Let’s be honest, if Mary and Joseph were here today and trying to get to Birmingham, they’d probably count themselves lucky to travel by donkey.”
CrossCountry advent calendars will cost £45.50 in advance if purchased during off-peak hours, otherwise customers will be required to pay the full cost of the calendar of £310.96.
Demand for CrossCountry Advent Calendars has been unexpectedly high and Cross Country are yet to confirm which calendars will be cancelled or replaced with busses.
