Thieves list Harry Kane on eBay
Harry Kane has appeared on eBay overnight, after thieves broke into a van and stole the England captain.
Most of the equipment that was stolen by thieves has since been recovered, however Thomas Tuchel is still hoping to recover Harry Kane before England’s opening match against Croatia.
“We’ve got most of the boots and training equipment back, but Harry is still missing,” said England manager Thomas Tuchel.
“The current bid is at $45.50, but so far we haven’t had approval from the FA to make our own bid. There is a Buy It Now option for around $120. I think that’s probably a bit steep. I mean, the guy is 32 now. I’d say our limit is probably about 70 quid, max.
“It’s a shame because preparations had been going really well. The only other player in the van with Kane was Jordan Henderson. Obviously they didn’t bother to take him. No one would be willing to pay the postage, let alone an actual fee. Thank God it was Hendo and not a useful player we actually need.
“I suppose if we don’t win the Kane auction we could always go for someone else. I’m pretty sure I saw Harry Caine being sold on Temu.
“It’s basically the same thing and only costs us a couple of quid.”
