“I had a 2pm tee time” – Trump explains early G7 departure
1 year ago
Donald Trump was forced to leave the G7 summit early due to booking a 2.07 tee time for a lovely round of golf.
With news emerging earlier that the US President had left the G7 summit, further news has now emerged that he had absolutely no choice whatsoever but to head straight back to America, because he was booked in a four-ball in the afternoon.
A spokesperson for the President confirmed, “He had no choice.
“We can confirm that President Trump was forced to leave the G7 summit early yesterday as he has a 2.07 tee time arragned with a four ball.
“Obviously he is aware that the G7 is a very important summit with world leaders discussing crucial issues affecting the whole of the world, but it’s quite tricky to get an afternoon slot at the golf course around 2pm, and he really fancied a game.
“He’s been practicing at the range too, and was super excited to get a few holes in.
Asked if the president has agreed any actions at the G7 summit on the environment, or global security, we were told. “Erm…. No, but he got a new putter he enjoyed trying out.”
