‘Unrecognisable’ celebrity recognised instantly

Headline writers have been left in turmoil today after a celebrity they deemed “completely unrecognisable” was instantly recognised. 

The photo in question, in which Daniel Craig looks the same as always he always does albeit with a new pair of glasses, has sent shock waves through newsrooms, with many questioning the future of modern journalism. 

MailOnline employee Simon Williams told us, “I examined that photograph for three hours and had no clue it was Daniel Craig.

“His hair is at least half-an-inch longer for Christ’s sake. There’s no way someone has been able to recognise him without some sort of intervention from artificial intelligence. 

“You’re telling me they’ve just eye-balled the image and knew it was Daniel Craig? Even with all that five o’clock shadow and those glasses? Do me a favour. 

“I’ve got a picture of Dean Gaffney lined up for tomorrow. I’d like to see if these smart-arses can identify Robbie Jackson without Wellard sitting next to him.”

It’s not just the Bond actor either, with new reports indicating that hundreds of celebrities are being recognised every single hour. 

“I knew it was him straight away,” said one of the commenters on Metro’s Facebook post. 

“Maybe it’s the fact it said ‘Grealish’ on the back of his football shirt, but I’m pretty sure I would’ve recognised him anyway. I mean, he is pretty famous, right?”
