Donald Trump has dismissed the speech which encouraged a violent mob to storm the US Capitol as locker room talk.

Did former President Donald Trump incite a mob to break into the Capitol Building? He insists that what appeared to inflammatory phrases were simply examples of macho banter.

“Violence is nasty, very nasty,” said Trump. “I’m just a gun-loving man of peace.

“When I told a rally made up of perfectly normal right-wing lunatics that, ‘We won this election and we won it by a landslide,’ I was just kidding around, showing off. Like you’d tell a friend in the gym locker room, ‘Hey, I’m really the President you know.’ And you’d both laugh and then talk about the receptionist’s great tits.

“And when I said, ‘We will stop the steal,’ I was talking about stopping steel imports from other countries. Make the US steel industry great again.

“And when I said, ‘We will never give up. We will never concede,’ I was obviously referring to, er, golf. That’s right, golf. I’m a very competitive player. So competitive. That’s why I’m so great.

“And yes, I did say, ‘If you don’t fight like hell you’re not going to have a country anymore.’ But I was telling them that they need to stop the spread of heavy industry into rural areas. Because I’m a big environmentaler. Always have been.

“And when I said, ‘Go! Break into the Capitol and kill those bastards!’ it was a beautiful metaphor for how we’ll respect the democratic process and make our voices heard again in four years time.

“Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m off to grab some pussy.

“Locker room talk!”
