Angela Lansbury will be launching a new TV series in which she explores various social issues through the lens of a confused old lady, it has been announced today.
It is understood that she will be reprising her role as Jessica Fletcher from the much-loved hit series ‘Murder, She Wrote’, but instead of solving crimes she will spend each episode looking at a hot topic of today and probably espousing complete twaddle about it.
Her agent Chuck Williams explained, “Angela can’t wait to get back on the small screen and sort out all the problems of the modern world.
“The first episode will show her investigating the allegations of sexual harassment and assault against Harvey Weinstein, and as she revealed earlier – spoiler alert – her conclusion will be that in some cases it was the women’s fault for dressing provocatively. Which will come as something of a relief to Harvey, I’m sure.”
He added, “We’re sure the series will be a hit with Republicans and men of a certain age, and we think they will especially love the episode dealing with immigration.”
Donald Trump added his thoughts, tweeting “YES, Angela. It’s always the fault of the women for being so sexy. Not a lot of people know that.”
