Harvey Weinstein ‘cured’ after intensive one-week therapy programme of being told sexual assault is bad

Harvey Weinstein has left his rehabilitation programme claiming he is ‘cured’ after listening to people tell him sexual assault is bad for an entire week.

Weinstein is still being seen by therapists on a more relaxed out-patient basis, but his in-patient care is now complete, after he declared himself cured of ‘that thing I was accused of doing’.

Weinstein told reporters, “My week in therapy really was the wake-up call I needed, I didn’t realise just how bad a thing sexual assault was, until people repeatedly and incessantly told me so for eight hours a day for an entire week.

“Honestly, I can’t recommend this place highly enough. If you’re someone, like me, who is wondering whether sexual assault is a bad thing to do, or not, then you should spend a week listening to these guys – I guarantee you will end the week thinking that it’s a bad thing to do.

“That’s how powerful it is. I mean, right now I’m not even thinking sexual assault is a bit bad, I now think it’s really bad – and I don’t know how I could possibly have got to this conclusion without a week of therapists telling me precisely that.

“I don’t want to say it’s revelatory, as that sounds all a bit ‘divine intervention’, but having people sit you down to tell you time and time again that sexually assaulting people is bad, really puts a new perspective on your life.

“I feel like a door has opened, one which I will no longer open in my dressing gown, or press young actresses against.

“Now, can I get back to making movies please?”
