Stalker claim dismissed as being ‘merely on the same route’

A London man has been cleared of stalking after a judge ruled that he merely worked in the same department as the plaintiff.

The man, who can not be named for legal reasons, explained how living on the same street and working for the same company, with the same start time, often led to them making the journey to work at the same time.

“It’s all lies,” said the complainant, Jane Crouch, 27.

“I mean, he would make the EXACT same turns in his car as I would, sometimes even before I did, having memorised my route.”

Office

The alleged incidents of ‘stalking’ also occurred in the workplace.

“He would often come over to my desk and ask questions about ‘The Simpson Account’ or to see if I still had the last Blakely proposal.”

“Sure, he’d claim it was part of his job as the auditor on those accounts, but I knew it was just an excuse to get close to me.”

“He would even walk past my desk on the pretence of visiting the toilet, sometimes as many as three times in a single day.”

Vigilante

After the case was dismissed, Ms Crouch has decided to take the law into her own hands.

“I have decided to start following him to see how he likes it.”

“It’s been a week now, but I’m not even sure that he’s noticed yet.”
