Brown woos Kylie
by Rich Smith 18 years ago There are strong rumours circulating in Whitehall that Prime Minister Gordon Brown is attempting to woo Kylie Minogue.
It is alleged that Prime Minister Brown, 57, now sees Minogue, 40, as the perfect fillip to his ailing premiership after witnessing first hand the impact a bit of arm-candy can have on a political career during his recent visit with French President. Nicolas Sarkozy.
It is understood that he sees the antipodean songstress as the perfect two-fingered response to the recent Tory offensive.
A Downing Street insider is quoted as saying, “Gordon is smitten. Yes, he might be married, but there are ways round that. He realises that the diminutive pop princess represents his best chance of re-election.”
Miss Minogue was unavailable for comment.
