Harvey Weinstein’s Zimmer frame wins supporting Actor Oscar for role in making him look harmless

On a surprise night at the glitzy Oscar ceremony, the award for Best Supporting Actor was won by the Zimmer frame belonging to the legendary disgraced film producer Harvey Weinstein, for its incredible performance in making him look harmless.
It saw off intense competition from Tom Hanks in A Beautiful Day in the Neighbourhood, Joe Pesci and Al Pacino for the Irishman and Anthony Hopkins for his role in the Two Popes.
The Zimmer frame was seen as something of an outsider, although its gritty performance had received widespread critical acclaim and already won dozens of prizes including best-supporting actor at the BAFTAS, Golden Globes, and The International Loose Bathrobe awards.
Entertainment correspondent Chuck Williams said, “A supporting actor is always judged on how they move the narrative of the main characters, and can you think of anything in the last year that has done more to change perceptions than Harvey Weinsteins zimmer frame?
“The fact that there are people out there who even consider him harmless of the back of the Zimmer frame’s performance speaks volumes about its ability.”
In an eccentric and moving speech, the Zimmer frame thanked the Korean factory where it was made, the alleged sex predator Harvey Weinstein himself, without whom none of this would be possible, and it paid a special tribute to the two courtroom security guards who helped it navigate three flight of stairs.
The Zimmer frame also spoke out about racism in the industry, saying it was important to take a stand against the Academy’s insistence that people of colour are incapable of acting or directing films. The Zimmer frame accepted the award anyway before heading off to one of the famous Oscar parties.
