King Charles criticised for arriving in Caribbean with cornrows

King Charles has been criticised after arriving for his Caribbean tour with his hair braided into cornrows.
Arriving in the Bahamas for his nine-day Caribbean tour, the monarch’s new hairstyle drew a lot of attention, with locals not too happy about the cultural appropriation.
“Well, a lot of people didn’t really appreciate the King shouting ‘bomboclat’ as he got off the plane,” said Royal correspondent Simon Williams.
“But that was only the start of the cultural insensitivity. I think the cornrows were really the thing people had the biggest problem with. I get that he’s trying to make an impression, but his advisors probably got this one a tad wrong.
“He did slightly slip out of his new persona when he asked for caviar with his fried plantain. There was also the brief moment someone mentioned fruitcake and he thought it was a remark. Though, after his short rant about how he could buy the entire country if he wanted to, the tension eventually died down.
“Also, he keeps making a lot of references about Jamaica. He’s not even visiting Jamaica on this tour. He just keeps saying things like ‘Where’s Usain? What time is Usain getting here? Is Usain close to arriving?’
“The Jamaica references were getting so much that someone eventually had to step in and say, ‘I’m sorry, Your Majesty. The Bahamas have never had a bobsleigh team.’
“Hopefully things go better in Guyana.”
