Woman who crashed the economy really not happy when people point out she crashed the economy

Liz Truss doesn’t like it when you point out her main political achievements, according letters issued by her lawyers today.
The former Prime Minister who was famously outlasted by a lettuce, is hoping that some form of collective amnesia will prevent the country from remembering her brief and disastrous stint in number 10 back in 2022.
While Keir Starmer is currently facing accusations of having the worst start as a prime minister in history, he only has to go back two years to prove everyone completely wrong.
Lawyers acting for Truss have insisted that her introduction of wide-ranging tax cuts and increased borrowing in her September 2022 mini-budget, which led directly to financial instability in the UK and a tumbling pound, were not responsible for the UK’s financial instability and tumbling pound.
They explained, “The fact that the pound reached and all-time low against the dollar immediately after the mini-budget is a complete coincidence. It’s just a case of unfortunate timing.
“And the ratings agencies were always going to downgrade the UK in September, and they were always going to say our ability to pay our debts was being threatened. It had nothing to do with Liz and her policies.
“We think you’ll find that if you ignore all of the overwhelming evidence to the contrary, then our client’s time as prime minister was nothing short of a tremendous success.
“Yes it was, shut up.”
