Arsenal successfully repurpose bus they parked in front of PSG for use in Premier League title parade

Arsenal have confirmed that the enormous bus that spent 90 minutes parked in front of Paris Saint-Germain’s attack on Saturday night was successfully refurbished and redeployed for the club’s Premier League title celebrations.
The vehicle, which spent most of the Champions League final stationed approximately ten yards in front of Arsenal’s own penalty area, was initially thought to have suffered extensive wear and tear after being repeatedly driven backwards towards goalkeeper David Raya.
However, club officials have now revealed it was in sufficiently good condition to be repainted and pressed into service for Sunday’s open-top parade through North London.
A club spokesperson explained, “The manager always talks about sustainability, so it seemed wasteful to just throw away a perfectly good bus after only one unsuccessful use.
“Some clubs might hire a parade vehicle. We simply took the one we’d already parked in front of PSG and removed the blackout windows.”
Fans lining the streets were delighted to see the familiar vehicle once again, with many commenting that it had travelled further during the parade than it had during the entire Champions League final.
Supporters also praised the team’s commitment to consistency after noticing that even during the parade, the bus appeared reluctant to cross the halfway line.
One fan at the parade, Simon Williams, told us, “I recognised it immediately. It’s the same bus Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli spent most of the evening standing in front of while PSG attacked.
“At one point I thought it was going to reverse towards crowd just out of habit.”
Meanwhile, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta defended his side’s approach, insisting, “People say we parked the bus. That is simply not true.
“We parked several buses. This was just the biggest one.”
At the time of publication, PSG were still enjoying 78% possession of the parade route.
