Galileo spotted with MAGA hat after Trump attacks the Pope

World-famous astronomer Galileo Galilei has been pictured wearing a Make America Great Again hat after Donald Trump and JD Vance attacked the Pope.

The scientist, who was sentenced to life under house arrest by Pope Urban VIII, has a complicated history with the papacy, and has now thrown his support behind the MAGA movement after Trump’s recent comments.

“The Pope is a dick,” said Galileo, adjusting his red MAGA hat.

“I mean, I don’t even like most of Trump’s policies, but this is one I can really get behind. All I did was publish a book, and that prick Pope Urban put me under house arrest. So much for free speech, eh?

“Look, I’m sure Pope Leo is a nice enough guy. That doesn’t mean I have to like him. It’s like being a football fan. You can respect Pep Guardiola, but as a Man United fan, it’s your obligation to hate every single Man City manager. That’s just how it is. It’s nothing personal.

“Having said that, when I saw JD Vance slagging off the Pope the other day, it did make me think maybe I should make peace with the Catholic Church after all. There’s just something about this Vance guy that makes me want to do the opposite of whatever he says.

“Hell, I probably would’ve denounced heliocentrism if it pissed off JD Vance.”
