Man who ‘can’t say anything these days’ has literally never been louder
1 year ago
Nigel Farage is still being silenced, according to his latest appearance before a U.S. congressional committee in Washington, D.C.
Farage, who is constantly on television, in newspapers and in online media, flew across the Atlantic to loudly explain to America how the UK is banning free speech and that his views are being silenced.
“You can’t say anything these days!” declared Farage, whose daily appearances on radio shows, TV spots, podcasts, and pint-clutching photo ops have made him one of the most omnipresent throats in Britain.
“I am tired of being silenced, and so are other people, many of whom you can also see on GB News at some point today.”
Farage insisted, “We should have the right to air our shitty opinions without challenge, and your constant disagreement with us means we’re being silenced. I’ll say precisely this again tomorrow morning when I’m booked on Fox News, and then again during my 8pm GB News slot back in London.”
Professor of English Language, Hayley Rice, said: “I would hate to suggest Mr Farage has misunderstood what is meant by ‘being silenced’, but, y’know, he definitely has.
“The most common Twitter reply he receives might well be ‘shut the fuck up’, but that’s not actually tantamount to being silenced.
“There are absolutely people in this world who ARE being silenced, but a millionaire broadcaster with a seat in parliament and a direct line to both the UK tabloids and the U.S. Congress definitely isn’t one of them.”
Farage countered, “See? I can’t even say I’m being silenced without then being silenced by some know-it-all lefty academic.
“You wait until I’m next on Newsnight to talk about this. Then you’ll be sorry.”
