“I have to hate Springsteen now, too?” ask tearful Trumpers, realising all that’s left for them is Kid Rock

Following Bruce Springsteen’s recent comments on his UK tour disparaging Donald Trump, a large percentage of MAGA followers have expressed dismay as they felt duty-bound to immediately purge and burn all their Springsteen records. 

Trump supporter Simon Williams said, “They’re dropping like lefty flies! If this goes on, it’ll just be Kid Rock and some Kanye West CDs left in my collection.” 

“And honestly, there’s something about Kanye’s recent social media posts that leaves me feeling a little uneasy.

“I mean… Think it, don’t say it. Jeez!”

A puzzled Williams continued, “Why is it that talented, empathetic and articulate musicians, writers and actors all seem united in their hatred of Donald Trump?

“These otherwise incredibly insightful people, and creative people who frame the world in such an evocative and politically astute way just don’t seem to like the Don. It’s such a weird blind spot all these people, I formerly thought to be intelligent, seem to have.” 

Williams conceded it did really hurt that tribalist groupthink essentially meant he could never watch a Meryl Streep, Disney, Martin Scorsese, Samuel L Jackson or Robert De Niro film again (amongst many others), though took some small comfort that he was still free to enjoy the works of Kevin Sorbo and Dean Cain. 

Between checking Fox News to see the latest swathes of artists, actors, writers and musicians he had to disavow for their anti-Trump bias, Williams said, “Sure, I’m only really allowed to watch whatever dogshit films Ben Shapiro recommends now, but at least I can take some comfort that I don’t live in an echo-chamber like those libtards.”
