Former Prime Minister Liz Truss is furious today upon discovering a lettuce has set up a social media network to rival her planned ‘free speech’ network for the UK.

The UK’s shortest-serving Prime Minister revealed at a cryptocurrency conference in Bedford that she would be launching her own ‘uncensorable’ social media network, before being immediately overshadowed by the announcement of a lettuce’s rival platform.

“It’s called Iceberg Social,” said lead developer Simon Williams.

“Our CEO has made it very clear that this will be the hottest place to be on the Internet. You’ll be able to follow all your favourite celebrities. Cristiano Ronaldo, Kylie Jenner, Roy from Coronation Street. We promise Iceberg Social is going to blow people’s minds.

“It’s not going to be divisive like Facebook or X either. It’s doesn’t matter whether you’re Labour or Conservative, Republican or Democrat, Leave or Romaine. Everyone will be treated with an equal amount of respect on our platform.

“I know some people are going to wonder why we’re announcing this the same week as Liz Truss announced her social media network. I promise you that it’s just a complete coincidence. This has been months in the making.

“We definitely haven’t whipped up a random website overnight just to fuck with her.”
