Oh dear, what a pity, says Boris Johnson

Boris Johnson has adopted a concerned expression and said “Gosh, that’s bad” at revelations about his best mate Dave Cameron.

The Mayor of London had been widely assumed to be angling for Cameron’s job, but he insisted he was keen to give the Prime Minister his very fullest, tippest-toppest support.

Johnson told reporters several times he was sure the allegations were all just a misunderstanding and didn’t crack once.

“I come here not to bury Dave, but to praise him,” he said.

“For Dave is an honourable man. I’ll repeat that. Honourable.

Having made it clear that the Prime Minister enjoys his full support, he would – with the greatest reluctance – be willing to help out in any way during the nation’s hour of need.
