Arsenal’s Wenger claims not to have seen vote of confidence
15 years agoArsenal manager Arsene Wenger has told reporters this afternoon that he has no comment to make after insisting he did not see the vote of confidence he was given by chief executive Ivan Gazidis.
Gazidis spoke slightly out of Wenger’s eye-line at the Sport Industry breakfast club to reassure fans that their long-time manager’s position was safe.
Wenger responded to the news by telling reporters that, “from my position I could not see the incident clearly, so it is best I do not comment.”
When reporters attempted to replay the interview for him Wenger closed his eyes and put his fingers in his ears before yelling, “Nah nah nah nah, I definitely cannot see that thing that you’re talking about!”
