Nigel Farage supporters unhappy with all the Count Binface jokes quietly asking themselves ‘Wait, are WE the snowflakes?’

After a week of social media being filled with jokes about Nigel Farage going head to head with Count Binface, furious Reform campaigners have been forced to ask themselves, ‘are we the real snowflakes?’
As hordes of people who steadfastly defend free speech when talking about jokes they agree with, suddenly started insisting that jokes about the Clacton by-election are ‘an affront to democracy and insult to Clacton voters’, many have taken to quiet self-reflection to wonder if it is really themselves who are the ‘snowflake generation in desperate need of a safe space’.
After Nigel Farage’s Clacton publicity stunt left him going head-to-head with Count Binface, and subsequently mocked by thousands of social media users, his supporters are insisting that jokes about Farage being defeated by a bin were a step too far.
Farage fan Simon Williams told us, “Hey, I’m all for jokes about the Navy sinking small boats, or jokes that liken Muslims to letterboxes, or about drowning migrants, but you can’t make jokes about the democratic election process where a candidate I like might lose in the most embarrassing way possible. That’s just being offensive, and being offensive isn’t allowed.
“I mean, I know that Count Binface has run in loads of elections, including Makerfield a couple of weeks ago – but him doing it in Clacton just makes Nigel look bad, and that’s a bad thing. And bad is offensive. Which means it shouldn’t be allowed.
“The correct way to react to jokes about the Clacton by-election is with calls for prison time for attempting to subvert democracy, and with unhinged rhetoric that democracy is now over.
“In no way does me calling for an end to jokes about the Clacton by-election mean I am now against free speech.
“Does it?”
Meanwhile, sensible people everywhere have pointed out that you can think calling a by-election to avoid a parliamentary standards investigation is wrong, and also still quite funny when you’re left facing only Count Binface in a by-election that literally no one takes seriously and could end your political career.
As one explained, “For the record, because some idiots will say this means I don’t believe in democracy, I hope there is a high turnout and the people of Clacton vote in a way thay truly reflects how they feel about Nigel Farage, the Five Mill Shill, and his ongoing attempts to avoid parliamentary scrutiny. But I also think him losing to Count Binface could be the funniest thing Reform will ever do.
“However, if you’re offended by someone making jokes about the Clacton by-election, then yes, you are the real snowflakes, sorry.”
