Tommy Ten Names, famed for his ability to accurately assess the size of any crowd, has confidently predicted that two million people turned out on the streets of Birmingham to congratulate Aston Villa on their Europa League victory.

The Aston Villa team took a victory bus tour to the centre of Birmingham, less than 24 hours after winning the Europa League final 3-0 against German side Freiburg.

With celebrations in Birmingham going on well into the night, Ten Names was watching the victory parade on TV at home, blown away by the support for the second city’s top club.

“At least two million fans there!” Ten Names explained on social media.

“I know crowds, I’ve seen crowds, and I’ve a long and storied history of accurately assessing crowd numbers from arial footage, and let me tell you right now, that was two million people. Easily.

“I honestly didn’t realise Aston Villa were so popular. They must be the most popular team in the country right now, because no other team could get that many people in one place with less than 24 hours’ notice.

“With that sort of support on the streets, I confidently predict they will take over football and claim every trophy they compete for in the next decade.”

Meanwhile, people who can count told us, “Maybe 20,000. 25,000 tops. Which is still a huge number, but Tommy does have a habit of inflating crowd numbers to suit his narrative.

“It’s the main reason he’s suddenly welcome in the US again, Trump wants him in charge of counting the crowds at his rallies.”
