Donald Trump confirms ‘four-week’ Iran war now entering exciting seventh month

Donald Trump has proudly confirmed that the conflict with Iran has passed its six-month anniversary, marking another major milestone in what he originally described as a four-week military campaign.

Speaking to reporters, the President insisted the operation remained “very, very on schedule”, despite now lasting approximately six times longer than advertised, and still showing no signs of ending.

“People said four weeks, and we’re still talking about it six months later. That’s called success,” explained Trump.

“If we’d finished it in four weeks, nobody would even remember it. This way everybody’s talking about it. It’s a tremendous campaign. People pay fortunes to remain in the headlines like this. I’ve delivered it for free for half a year so far!”

White House officials have urged Americans to focus on the progress being made rather than becoming distracted by concepts such as calendars, clocks, or basic arithmetic.

One senior aide explained, “The President has always viewed deadlines as more of an aspiration than a commitment. It’s the same principle used for infrastructure projects, home renovations and rounds of golf.”

The administration has also moved to reassure voters that the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, which Trump repeatedly suggested he could end within a day of taking office, remains firmly on the list of things he intends to sort out eventually.

“Nobody wants peace more than President Trump,” said the aide. “Which is why he’s been carefully not achieving it for well over a year now.”

Supporters were quick to defend the president’s record.

“People are being unfair,” said 52-year-old Chuck Williams. “When Trump said he would defeat Iran in four weeks, he never specified which four weeks. It could be any four weeks. There’s no rule saying they have to be consecutive.”

At press time, the White House had announced plans to celebrate the successful completion of week 24 of the administration’s four-week Iran strategy, while confirming that negotiations to end the Russia-Ukraine war on day one were now entering their exciting nineteenth month.
