Noel Gallagher has announced a tour to celebrate six years since the release of Liam Gallagher’s debut album ‘As You Were’.
The singer will perform the reasonably average album in full, along with another couple of Liam’s songs at gigs across the UK in 2024.
Announcing the tour earlier he told us, “It’s going to be amazing. I can’t wait to play all of Liam’s songs.
“I am really excited to announce a special tour to celebrate the six-year anniversary of Liam’s debut album, where all the songs are his.
“It’s a really good album I think, with at least 2 half decent songs on it so it will be absolutely amazing to go out there and sign all of Liam’s songs – on my tour.
“Obviously I will throw in a couple of other classic Liam tunes as well like…. erm… that Once or something, I suppose that’s alright.
“And then I can end with something else that Liam wrote because I want to tour just singing his songs.”
Asked if he is annoyed that his brother is also doing a tour of all the songs he wrote, Noel were told, “No not at all, I mean Liam once came up with a tambourine bit in Cigarettes and Alcohol all by himself so he pretty much wrote that album.”
