After GB News suspended Dan Wootton over his on-air interview of Laurence Fox, the ailing ‘news’ channel has received a job application from the ‘supremely qualified’ Marting Branning.
Wootton was finally suspended this afternoon, after a day of speculation during which he was thrown under the bus by Fox after previously pretending to have been ‘shocked’ by Fox’s on-air comments.
Branning’s application claims he has had several years of broadcast experience, and insists he will be able to integrate into the void left by Wootton seamlessly.
Simon Williams, a producer at GB News told us, “The suspension of Dan Wootton does cause us something of a problem, as it’s a prime time slot that we now have to fill at VERY short notice.
“This Branning chap said he would be willing to dress like Wootton, and even do a Kiwi accent to keep the disruption for our audience to an absolute minimum.
“We’ll have to see what make-up can do with that huge moustache and bush eyebrows, and then maybe we’ll give him a go and see how we get on.
“I mean, what’s the worst that could happen?”
I think, therefore I am (not a GB News viewer)
