Eamon Holmes will fight Philip Schofield at Wembley Stadium in July it has been announced.

The fight, which will see the two bitter rivals lock horns for 12 rounds of boxing, was announced by promoter Eddie Hearn this morning following a string of verbal assaults by the pair.

Speaking earlier, he told us, “This is the fight everyone wants to see.

“We can confirm that Eamon Holmes and Philip Schofield will be fighting in July, at Wembley Stadium in front of what is sure to be a sell-out crowd.

“It goes without saying that this is going to be some fight. They absolutely hate each other, and it will be brutal from the offset.

“It’s difficult to pick a favourite really, and it may come down to who wants it more on the day, and who can keep their cool and try to control the fight.

“Right now, Holmes is all over the place, he’s rattled and absolutely fuming with everything, but can he control his emotions and try to keep his discipline?”

Asked if there is also a chance Joshua v Fury may happen this year, we were told, “Who gives a f**k mate? It’s all about Holmes v Schofield. That’s the only fight the public wants to see.”
