Ivan Toney has admitted his biggest error, in betting on Arsenal to win the league back in February.

With news emerging earlier that Toney has been suspended from playing for eight months due to breaking betting rules, the striker has admitted his deep regret at his actions, especially for betting on Arsenal to win the Premier League.

Speaking earlier, he told us, “What I did was stupid, and more than a little naive.

“But they were five points clear at the time, and they were looking like they would piss it.

“Then I was offered the cash-out, but I decided to let it roll because it looked like it was in the bag.

“That was a massive mistake on my part, and one I deeply regret.

“I should have known better really, as it’s Arsenal, and they were clearly going to f**k it up – but I just got too greedy.

“Thankfully, I can recoup some of my money on Brentford’s 2-1 defeat at Spurs this Saturday,  but I’m still a bit pissed off.”
