Suella Braverman has accused AFC Richmond manager Ted Lasso of joining the Guardian-reading Tofu-eating Wokerati after his show was used to highlight the poor treatment of asylum seekers in this country.

Braverman, known for her hardline stance on asylum seekers arriving by boat, lambasted Lasso’s show for demonstrating empathy towards those seeking refuge in the UK.

She went on, “It’s ridiculous that a fictional character like Ted Lasso can join the guardian-reading tofu-eating wokerati and care about asylum seekers. This is just another example of the liberal media trying to push their agenda onto the British people.”

Lasso has been praised for his compassionate nature and ability to connect with people from all walks of life, however Braverman insisted that Lasso’s attitude was dangerous.

She went on, “By showing empathy towards asylum seekers, Ted Lasso is encouraging more people to make the dangerous journeys across the English Channel – journeys that we could stop tomorrow by offering a safe route to claim asylum. Trust me; empathy never got us anywhere.”

“It’s time for the entertainment industry to stop pushing their left-wing agenda and start focusing on what really matters to the British people, which is the culture war my colleagues and I are so desperately pushing.”

As for Lasso, he told the British public, “Seeing all them Asylum seekers arriving is a bit like your first dentist’s appointment, you might be scared as a kitty cat dangling over a bath, but I promise it ain’t gonna hurt you none.”
