Dave the Cat has been left wondering if the people who feed him are going to turn up and fill his bowl, according to reports this morning.
Dave, the unofficial mascot of the England team at their Qatari hotel, has spent the last hour wandering around an empty terrace on the lookout for any little tidbits handed out by an England centre-half.
“I’m sure they’ve just overslept,” explained Dave looking forlornly around the room.
“They said that I was one of the team, so they wouldn’t have just… left… would they?
Nudging the empty bowl in our direction with his nose, Dave added, “Do you have anything to eat? I’ll even eat Muesli I’m so hungry. I’ll take anything you can offer. Please?
“It is nearly Christmas after all.”
