The UK has appointed its first simpleton Prime Minister, leaving many insisting that giving the top government job to a borderline imbecile is ‘political correctness gone mad’.
As the tiny minority of British citizens who paid to join the Conservative Party decided that Liz Truss is definitely the person required to lead the nation at a time of national crisis, furious voters have been left wondering how much worse a simpleton could potentially make it.
Voter Simon Williams told us, “Look, don’t get me wrong, I don’t want to discriminate. Simpletons can do lots of jobs, we’ve got one here who works in HR, and he’s nice enough – though completely useless – and I’m sure that most simpletons are perfectly lovely people, but I just don’t want one running my country.
“No doubt some people will say that makes me some sort of bigot, but I just think the person who runs the country should be brighter than, say, the average eleven-year-old.
“It’s not supporting ‘equal opportunities’ to give the top job to a below-average mind; it’s absolutely crazy. She’s going to make Theresa May look like Stephen Hawking.
“She will be the only world leader who could go and sit with President Biden and bring the average brain power in the room down.”
