Jonny Depp has categorically denied ever making The Tourist it is revealed today.
The Hollywood actor, who is appearing in court in Virgina as part of his civil trial against former wife Amber Heard, made the claim earlier following a string of allegations against the star over his discrepancies in the past.
Speaking earlier, and emotional Depp revealed, “I was never in that film. Absolutely not.
“I have been accused of some heinous acts in my past, but this is a step too far.
“Obviously my face is on the poster for the film and my name appears on the credits but I could never do such a terrible terrible thing. And it really is terrible.
“The question you have to ask yourself is ‘did Tim Burton make this film? And is Helena Bonham Carter a co-star? And the answer is no – so I couldn’t have been in it.
“I have done some things I am not proud of in the past, but these awful allegations are completely damaging my career and my whole reputation and I need to defend myself.”
Asked if he was in the remake of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory he asked us, “Did Tim Burton direct it?”
