Following the announcement that Prince Andrew has been stripped of his titles and responsibility for Royal Duties, the palace has announced that he will be replaced as ninth in line to the throne by rapper and producer Kanye West.

“Kanye is one of the most innovative musicians working today, from his visionary beats on My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy to his production work with Pusha T, Drake and Nas,” said a Palace of Westminster representative.

“Consequently, Her Majesty believes he will make an excellent addition to the line of succession who will carry out his royal duties with dignity and enthusiasm.”

Kanye, or ‘Prince Yeezy’ as he will be known, is thrilled with the appointment.

“Shout out to the new lady in my life – Queen Elizabeth. Looking forward to hanging at your crib, yo. Opening fetes and visiting market towns and shit. Shit’s going to be dope, yo.”

It is expected that the arrival of Prince Yeezy at the palace will see Prince Edward finally record and release the rap album he’s reportedly been working on since 2011, possibly as early as next year.

The Palace is understood to be looking to sound out candidates to replace Prince Harry should Prince Yeezy prove a success. There has been no official comment on the matter, but early rumours suggest Duran Duran’s Simon Le Bon or Roland Rat are the most likely contenders.
