Ralf Rangnick is the man to end Manchester United’s barren run without a trophy according to supporters who only found out who he was last week.
63-year-old Rangnick has arrived from Lokomotiv Moscow and had spells in charge at a few German clubs the fans have also never heard of.
That said, United fans are optimistic that Rangnick will lead the club to many league titles despite arriving as interim manager till the end of the season.
Season ticket holder Harry Kneville told us, “I’ve always rated Rangnick, ever since incorrectly googling his name and scouring through his Wiki page last week.
“He’ll be an ideal replacement for Harry Maguire or maybe Luke Shaw, or possibly Ed Woodward.”
Fellow United fan, Bryan Griggs said, “It’s great that the club has been able to bring in a name like Ralf Rangnick.
“I’ve no idea what he’s like as a coach – who does? But hopefully, he will follow in the footsteps of other United alliterative greats such as Paul Parker, Victor Valdes and Paul Pogba.”
