Harry Kane to self-isolate

England captain Harry Kane has been forced to self-isolate for 10 days it is revealed today, after watching Braveheart without wearing a mask.

With news emerging yesterday of two other England players forced to isolate for spending approximately 4 seconds with Scotland’s Billy Gilmour at the end of Friday’s game with Scotland, further developments have today revealed that England captain Kane will now also miss tonight’s game, after watching most of Braveheart in his room without wearing a mask.

England manager Gareth Southgate revealed, “It’s disappointing, because he didn’t even understand the film.

“But we can’t afford to take any risks, Braveheart is a Scottish film, Billy Gilmour is Scottish, Harry didn’t have a mask on and these are the consequences.

“Obviously most of the entire Scotland squad will have been hugging and kissing Gilmour after the game on Friday, and strangely DON’T have to isolate, including the Scotland manager.

“But from an England perspective, we need to be cautious, and anyone who has done anything Scottish, just in case, will need to miss the game.”

Asked if any other players are at risk of having to isolate we were told, “We have heard that Phil Foden was spotted with a can of Iron Bru, but we are waiting on confirmation on this before we make a decision.”
