A man has been left devastated this morning after completely ruining a perfectly good bacon sandwich by covering it with lashings of ketchup instead of brown sauce.
Simon Williams, who normally has brown sauce as his option on any breakfast sandwich, just like any other normal person, decided to try ketchup as a one-off after realising he had run out of HP when he got up for breakfast this morning.
Speaking earlier he told us, “I have no idea what I was thinking.
“I just thought I’d give it a go, because I’d already cooked the bacon, and I couldn’t be bothered running to the shop.
“Look, I’ve tasted ketchup before when I’ve had it on my chips, and it’s actually quite nice so I thought I’d get away with it.
“Obviously I was wrong, it’s a completely different ball game, and it totally ruined the sandwich, which I had to throw away.
“I just can’t understand people who would actually choose to do this, there must be something wrong with them, or they haven’t been brought up right.”
Asked if he as least managed to have a coffee to wake him up in the morning he told us, “Coffee? Are you mad? Tea mate, all the way.”
