Prince Andrew has reacted defiantly after the Queen took away his Admiral costume ahead of Prince Philips’ funeral, by making his own.

Andrew, who holds the honorary role of Vice-Admiral in the Royal Navy, actually stepped back from royal duties following the sex trafficking allegations against his good friend Jeffrey Epstein but had hoped that seeing him in full uniform would go some way to rehabilitating him in the eyes of the public.

However, after the decision was made that none of the senior royals should wear the uniforms associated with their honorary titles in the armed forces, Andrew decided to take matters into his own hands.

A source close to the family told us, “Andrew locked himself away in a room at Windsor Castle for a couple of hours, except for the odd demand for supplies, such as paper, scissors, glue – that sort of thing.

“We had no idea why he wanted a pair of Marigolds, and we all thought it was some weird sex thing – this is is Andrew after all – right up until we saw he’d used them as epaulettes.

“The hat is cute, we have to admit, but it does raise into question once more his decision-making ability if he thinks this is the way to go about getting the Queen and country back onside.

“Let’s be honest, going and giving a formal interview to the FBI would be a start.”

Meanwhile, it is understood that Prince George has asked his great-uncle if he can have the costume after the funeral so he can play at being a soldier too.
