Hotmail users take a break from deleting hundreds of spam emails to laugh at Gmail users

The handful of people who still use Microsoft Hotmail are today feeling smug, according to reports.

The news that Gmail, the email provider most favoured by grown adults, is experiencing global technical difficulties this morning has provided a chuckle to Hotmail users around the world.

One loyal Microsoft devotee, Simon William, told us, “Haha, this is hilarious!

“People routinely laugh in my face for still having the same Hotmail address that I set up in 2003 to chat up that girl from my school on MSN messenger, but who’s laughing now, eh?

“Well she is, admittedly, as she went on to marry a semi-professional football player and now has a detached house in South London and two delightful children; but still.”

He explained, “After clicking past the usual dozen or so pop-ups I signed into my Hotmail account and, after deleting the one hundred and seventy-odd spam emails, saw a news bulletin that Gmail was down.

“How I laughed to myself!”

Gmail user Christopher James told us, “Yes, this is a minor inconvenience, but I expect it’ll be up and running soon enough.

“And as my work uses Google Drive to share and edit documents, I’m currently watching daytime TV with a cold beer in my hand.

“Cheers Google!”
