Donald Trump’s cognitive decline escalates as he continues to attack opponent he ran against four years ago

Donald Trump's cognitive decline

American voters have today been left concerned about Donald Trump’s very obvious cognitive decline, after the President posted a campaign video seemingly unaware it was attacking the opponent he beat four years ago.

As Trump continues to rail against ‘crooked Hillary’, despite his closest aides repeatedly reminding him he won against her in 2016, voters are increasingly concerned about the mental faculties of the man with his finger on the nuclear button.

Neurologist Chuck Williams told us, “This is something that tends to happen when the mind first begins to degrade in the elderly.  He’ll be able to perfectly recall details of deals he did in the 1980s, and so you’ll think he’s absolutely fine, but then he won’t remember who it is he’s running against in next week’s election.

“At this point, there is no harm in going along with his delusion, so I’m sure there are plenty of people around him telling him ‘Sure champ, you’re definitely going to beat Hillary – absolutely’.”

Trump took to Twitter in an attempt to allay any fears about his fitness for office, telling his followers, “I’m the sharpest candidate anyone has ever seen.  Lots of people are saying it. You’ll see, just as soon as I beat crooked Hillary and chuck Barry Obama on the streets and take over the White House. 1988 is going to be a great year for America!”

The Tweet has been retweeted 150k times so far by hardcore Trump supporters, who are seemingly happy to accept a bit of cognitive decline in their President, as long as it keeps the other guy out.

As one supporter explained, “I’d happily see the White House occupied by someone in a persistent vegetative state ahead of Joe Biden. So a little light dementia is no problem for me at all.”
