‘The fire is here to stay, we just need to learn to live with it’ – Man decides to not call fire brigade

Man says get used to house being on fire

A man has decided not to call the fire brigade after his house caught fire saying that ‘the fire is here to say, we just need to learn to live with it’.

It was immediately pointed to the man by other occupants of the house that if they didn’t take action against the fire, it would likely burn the house down and kill everyone in it.

However, the man argued that might not be the whole story.

“Granted, but we should also look at what happens if we call the fire brigade? The fire engine might run people over on the way here, you might trip over and break your neck as you evacuate the house.  And what about the fires they won’t be able to tackle because they’re here tackling this one?

“To be honest, it’s probably just as dangerous calling the fire brigade as it is sitting here doing nothing.

“Besides, there’s something on television I want to watch.”

It was also pointed out that Government advice remains to call the fire brigade in the event of a fire.

“Well, that settles it then. I don’t trust this Government. Didn’t vote for them. Don’t believe a word they say. Therefore, calling the fire brigade must be a bad idea.

“Now, could someone open a window. I’m getting a bit warm.”

Since making the decision to not call the fire brigade, the man’s house has burnt down and he died which, whilst many would say he paid the price for his own stupidity, did also lead to the other occupants of his house burning to death and several other houses on his street burning down, killing many.
