Coronavirus sees boost in popularity after Donald Trump infected

Coronavirus popularity

The revelation that Donald Trump has tested positive for Covid-19 has given a boost to the beleaguered virus’s popularity around the globe.

Since emerging early this year, the coronavirus has suffered from consistently low regard due to its devastating effect on humanity.

However, people are now starting to see a positive side to Covid.

“I mean, if we’re going to have this life-threatening virus rampaging round civilisation, the least it can do is target the worst person in the world,” said Simon Williams.

“Don’t get me wrong, the sooner it f**ks off, the better, but you know, if it’s going to make people like Trump really, really sick along the way, then, well, maybe it’s not as bad as everyone thinks.”

However, despite the conciliatory words, Williams made it clear that the virus still had a long way to go to really win his approval.

He went on, “Trump is a good start, but I’m still seeing a healthy Vladimir Putin, a healthy Erdogan. Al-Assad hasn’t even had so much as a sore throat. So, you know, there’s still a lot of work to do.”

There has been no comment from the virus regarding recent developments, largely because it is a virus and quite insentient, but there is now hope that the Trump infection is a sign that coronavirus is trying to work with humanity, rather than against it.
