US President Donald Trump has ordered urgent mass-gatherings across America this morning, after it emerged that the US is likely to have far more ventilators than it requires during the current coronavirus pandemic.

Speaking at his daily Coronavirus Task Force briefing today, the President has advised that the number of ventilators available for use in the US is already far more than they currently need, with thousands more yet to be made in the coming weeks.

“We have a rising infection rate across America with more and more people requiring ventilators,” he told reporters and viewers of the live broadcast.

“But at the moment we have far more ventilators than we need, and this figure is rising rapidly with thousands more ventilators being produced every week. It’s a real problem, we don’t know what to do with them all. We don’t want them gathering dust, so we have to figure out how to put them to work.

“We are going to open gun ranges first, obviously. Then it will be a couple of big rallies for me and my efforts over the last few weeks. Then we may have to consider re-starting the NFL for a month to see how this plays out.

“Excess ventilators is a very big problem, but I am confident that if people listen to me, and not the scientists, we can level this thing out.”

The Governor of New York Andrew Cuomo who is leading the fight against the virus in the US has condemned the President’s plan as “Fucking Ludicrous”.
