The prorogation of parliament has been prorogued by the Supreme Court.
The prorogation of the prorogation will take effect immediately and should see MPs return to Parliament.
“I am glad that the illegal prorogation has been prorogued,” said one MP.
“I, for one, will be proroguing my time away from Parliament to attend the newly prorogued prorogued Parliament.”
However, a minister speaking on behalf of the Government appeared to be defiant.
“We will immediately be looking into whether or not it will be possible to prorogue the prorogation of the prorogation of Parliament.
“We need to prorogue the prorogation of the prorogation of Parliament so we can proceed with a new Queen’s Speech, or something equally convincing.”
However, legal experts were quick to warn against Government attempts to prorogue the prorogation of the prorogation of Government.
“The precedent is now clear, if the Government attempts to prorogue the prorogation of the prorogation of Parliament, the Supreme Court will immediately prorogue that prorogation and uphold the prorogation of the prorogation of Parliament.”
Whilst the Supreme Court has not made any judgement on the future of Boris Johnson, it is expected that his position as Prime Minister will shortly be prorogued.
