After a ruling that the Prorogation of Parliament may be unlawful, courts have asked Judge Joseph Dredd to settle the matter once and for all.
Dredd, who is known for being a stickler, is widely recognised for his knowledge of and adherence to the letter of the law, as well as liberal use of both the daystick and lawgiver which might come in handy under the circumstances too.
A ruling in the Scottish courts this morning means that the matter will end up in front of Dredd, who is expected to give the matter short shrift – possibly whilst punching some spug in the face.
When told that ‘The people are sovereign’, Dredd is understood to have audibly wondered what on earth gave them that idea.
“Seems the politicians can’t fix things between themselves as usual,” the Judge told us whilst putting down a block war.
“This is what happens when you give people who’ve never been on the street a sniff of power. It goes to their heads and they think they’re important.
“At the end of the day what matters is the law. And I am the law.”
“Now get me Boris Johnson, Jeremy Corbyn, and Nicola Sturgeon and warm-up three Iso-cubes.”
