NRA insisting Florida school shooter was part of a well-regulated militia

The National Rifle Association is today insisting that the 19-year-old-shooter at a Florida school was clearly part of a well-regulated militia, and therefore entitled to the guns he owned.

After coming under increasing pressure of its rigid second amendment stance, the NRA was asked precisely which well-regulated militia teenager Nikolas Cruz was part of.

Cruz was armed with an AR-15 assault rifle, which critics say was not part of the vision of those who crafted the second amendment – at a time when single shot rifles could take a minute to reload.

However, NRA spokesperson Chuck Williams said, “Look, the second amendment very clearly says you can have as many guns as you want if you’re of a part of a well-regulated militia, and this young man was his own well-regulated militia of one.

“That’s right, he was his own well-regulated militia, which makes his gun ownership perfectly legal. In fact, this nation is made up of millions of one-person well-regulated militias – I bet you didn’t know that, did you.

“It is these one-man militias that are holding this government to account, without them we would all be under the jackboot of tyranny within hours.

“Yes, for the record, I am definitely suggesting Cleetus and his assault rifle could stop the US Army’s numerous Apache helicopters and satellite targetted missiles – if he needed to.

“If you don’t think that’s true, ask yourself why the government hasn’t already tried to take over the country they already control. It’s obviously because of people like Cleetus.

“Checkmate liberals.”
